As a global leader in advanced mobility solutions, our outstanding team of legal professionals helps us navigate the continually changing legal and regulatory landscape. In our Office of General Counsel, you’ll be part of an organization that collaborates with outside counsel to operate as a global team and deliver world-class legal, tax and audit services to client groups throughout the company.

In this position...

  • We seek an experienced tax professional to lead complex domestic and international tax compliance matters, provide strategic and technical guidance, and oversee the review of tax returns and supporting calculations.

  • The successful candidate will exercise independent judgment in resolving significant tax matters, advise tax leadership and business stakeholders on risks and opportunities, and drive the use of tax technology, Microsoft applications, and AI-enabled tools to improve tax processes, analysis, and reporting.

  • Additional experience in tax controversy, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, business expansion, corporate financing, or partnership tax is preferred.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to influence and partner effectively with key corporate groups, including Legal, Treasury, Accounting, Finance, and business units, are essential.

What you'll do...

  • Lead the analysis and execution of complex tax compliance matters; direct the review of tax returns, calculations, supporting workpapers, and tax forecasts prepared by the team

  • Set priorities, provide technical direction, and coach team members while ensuring timely, high-quality delivery across multiple workstreams

  • Identify, evaluate, communicate, and implement tax strategies and process improvements in collaboration with tax leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Advise on the tax compliance implications of significant corporate transactions and business initiatives and coordinate implementation with relevant stakeholders

  • Establish, evaluate, and document material tax return positions in coordination with tax counsel and other subject-matter experts

  • Present significant compliance matters, risks, recommendations, and decisions to tax leadership and key stakeholders

  • Oversee domestic and international tax filings and related compliance deliverables, including scope, resources, timelines, and issue resolution

  • Establish and monitor processes for the collection, validation, and reconciliation of data required for tax returns, extensions, estimated payments, and other filings

  • Provide final-level review of complex tax calculations, workpapers, and filings for accuracy, completeness, consistency, compliance with applicable tax laws, and adherence to internal controls

  • Sponsor and lead tax compliance transformation initiatives using tax technology, Microsoft applications, and AI-enabled tools, including adoption, governance, and sustainable process improvements

  • Serve as a senior tax partner to Accounting, Finance, Legal, business units, and external advisers to resolve complex tax issues, support accurate reporting, and align tax requirements with business objectives

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Licensed or registered CPA or admitted to practice law in at least one jurisdiction in the United States

  • 5-7 years of multinational tax experience with a large U.S.-based corporation or nationally recognized accounting or law firm

  • Experience leveraging tax technology, Microsoft applications, and AI-enabled tools to improve tax processes, analysis, and reporting

  • Experience with CorpTax software preferred

  • Federal corporate income tax experience.

  • Public accounting experience.

  • Willingness to work on a variety of tax matters and develop a strong understanding of the company’s business and operations

  • Excellent writing and communication skills; ability to explain complex tax concepts to those with limited tax experience

  • Team-oriented with some supervisory or review experience.

  • Genuine interest in compliance work.

Even better, you may have...

  • JD or MST from an accredited college or university preferred but not required

  • International tax compliance

  • Tax technology experience or strong interest

  • IRS audit experience

  • Tax research skills
