Job summary

Qualifications

• Utah Special Educator License required or eligible.
• Full-time position through the remainder of the 2026-27 school year.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom work to address individualized learning plans.
• Administers developmental tests and assessments to inform IEPs.
• Communicates progress to parents/guardians and sets expectations.
• Assesses progress toward objectives and goals.
• Collaborates with staff and families to improve student outcomes.
• Counsels students to improve performance and well-being.
• Demonstrates knowledge of IEP requirements for FAPE.
• Directs assistant staff and volunteers to support students.
• Instructs students to improve academic, social, and daily living skills.
• Manages behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Monitors students across settings for safety and learning.
• Participates in meetings to share information and plan.
• Prepares written progress reports and records.
