Job summary

You will collaborate with general educators,parents, and students to design and support effective IEP goals across math, literacy, social studies, and science.

You will build inclusive, nurturing classrooms where students feel respected and motivated to learn, using data to differentiate instruction and track progress toward IEP targets.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for and expertise in working with students with special education needs.
• Support students in reaching their IEP goals.
• Document progress toward IEP goals and support development of new goals as necessary.
• Provide world-class instruction in math, literacy, social studies, and science to students on your caseload while collaborating with general education teachers.
• Use data to guide and differentiate instruction effectively.
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions.
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission.
