Job summary

Rocketship Public Schools seeks a Program Specialist to lead inclusive special education across DC campuses. Based in Washington, DC, the role collaborates with school leaders to strengthen instructional practices, ensure compliant IEPs, and drive annual student growth in math and literacy using NWEA metrics.

The position is hybrid, requiring on-site campus work, regional office presence, and remote capacity for compliance tasks. A strong background in SPED and MTSS is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education teaching credential or administrative license; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience supporting inclusive education and MTSS implementation.

Responsibilities

• Support ISE team visions at school sites for network initiatives and school priorities.
• Regularly meet with school leaders to develop, monitor, and adjust instructional and compliance efforts.
• Co-develop and support coaching plans for ISE teachers and teams with the managing school leader.
• Provide direct and indirect coaching on instructional practice and compliance initiatives.
• Lead ISE Walkthroughs with School and Regional Leaders.
• Oversee and support MTSS and IEP development to ensure compliant services.
