The Young Mind Community Center (YMCC) is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our inclusive preschool team. You will provide classroom coverage, support teachers, and engage children in play-based learning throughout the day.

You will help with routines, meals, and transitions, supporting social-emotional and language development in a warm, collaborative environment with behavior experts and therapists. A high school diploma or equivalent and Arizona IVP clearance are required, with dependable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 12 months of child care experience.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Arizona Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required or able to obtain.
• Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Able to work in a physically active preschool environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage and support as needed.
• Assist teachers with daily activities and transitions.
• Engage children in play-based learning.
• Support social-emotional, communication, cognitive, physical, and self-help development.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
• Supervise children and ensure safety.
• Follow routines and collaborate with transdisciplinary team.
• Communicate with parents and colleagues.
