UChicago Medicine is proud to partner with The Anixter Center of Chicago to provide the Inclusive Pathways Program, a joint initiative to support individuals with disabilities applying for positions at the academic medical center. Qualified program participants will meet one on one with our Disability Inclusion Coordinator to answer questions you may have on open positions of interest at UChicago Medicine. Our Disability Inclusion Coordinator will then provide you with any necessary assistance throughout your interview and onboarding experience, and from application to hire. Should you accept a position at UCM, the Disability Inclusion Coordinator will also provide support throughout your first year to ensure you feel adequately supported.

Required Qualifications:

  • A completed High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited body
  • 18 years or older
  • Individual identifies as having a disability of any kind as defined by the ADA
    • You are considered to have a disability if you have a physical or mental impairment or medical condition that substantially limits a major life activity, or if you have a history or record of such an impairment or medical condition.Disabilities include, but are not limited to:
      • Autism
      • Autoimmune disorder, for example, lupus, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, or HIV/AIDS
      • Blind or low vision
      • Cancer
      • Cardiovascular or heart disease
      • Celiac disease
      • Cerebral palsy Deaf or hard of hearing
      • Depression or anxiety
      • Diabetes
      • Epilepsy
      • Gastrointestinal disorders, for example, Crohn's Disease, or irritable bowel syndrome
      • Intellectual disability
      • Missing limbs or partially missing limbs
      • Nervous system condition for example, migraine headaches, Parkinson’s disease, or Multiple sclerosis (MS)
      • Psychiatric condition, for example, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, or major depression
    • Capable of independently completing assigned work duties with or without the need for reasonable accommodations.

Compensation & Benefits Overview

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
