Job summary

New London Public Schools seeks an Elementary School Teaching/Special Education Teacher for Nathan Hale Arts Magnet School. The role involves instructing identified SPED students across core subjects and requires a valid CT educator certificate with appropriate endorsement.

You will develop IEPs, differentiate instruction, and collaborate with families and teams to promote inclusive practices while maintaining progress data and Records.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CT CSDE certificate with one or more endorsed areas.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs with families and teams.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners using evidence-based strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs by assessing needs and delivering specialized instruction.
• Provide differentiated instruction in various settings to meet learning needs.
• Collaborate with general ed teachers, related services, and families to support inclusion.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals and maintain educational records.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment and support transitions for students.
