Job summary

Casa Grande Elementary School District Early Childhood Learning Center – Casa Grande, AZ seeks an Education Specialist – Inclusive Education to improve outcomes for students with special needs. The role relieves teachers of clerical tasks and supports students with health considerations.

The position is 10-month, full-time, with a starting date immediately. Responsibilities include adapting activities, supporting IEP meetings, and documenting student progress. Salary is $16.96 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials under teacher direction.
• Administers tests.
• Assists special education students requiring daily care.
• Attends Individual Education Program meetings with assigned student(s).
• Confers with teachers and/or parents as required.
• Implements instructional programs and lesson plans across core subjects.
• Instructs students individually or in small groups.
• Maintains classroom equipment and student files/records.
• Monitors and assists students during various school environments.
• Performs record keeping and clerical functions.
• Picks up and delivers homework/assignments to students at home.
• Provides documentation of students’ work.
