Job summary

Aiken County Public Schools in North Augusta, SC seeks an Early Learning Special Education Aide (7.5 hours, 181 days) to support students with disabilities in early learning classrooms. You will assist in implementing IEP-based instruction, collect performance data, and help with adaptive skills and classroom routines.

The role requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with preferred experience in special education settings and a district-driven 40-hour RBT training plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required. Must meet Highly Qualified standards per federal/state guidelines.
• Associate’s Degree or 60 college hours or passing ParaPro Assessment required.
• Experience with young children and disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with instructional programs aligned to IEP goals and early learning standards.
• Provide individual and small group instruction under supervision.
• Maintain structured, visually supported learning environments and data collection.
• Implement applied behavior strategies and reinforce instructional programs.
• Prepare instructional materials and support smooth transitions throughout the day.
• Escort and supervise students as needed and support inclusion in general education.
