Job summary
A community-focused charitable organization is seeking a Camp Evergreen Access & Ability Counselor to support campers with disabilities in a safe and inclusive summer camp environment. The counselor will supervise activities, communicate with families, and assist campers in achieving comfort and independence. Candidates should have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, be at least 17 years old, and possess strong communication skills. The position offers a seasonal salary of $4,250 and various training opportunities.
Qualifications
Minimum of one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Must be 17 years of age.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Supervise assigned camper(s) with special needs ensuring their enjoyment and safety.
Assist assigned camper(s) with personal care or feeding needs.
Attend and actively participate in staff trainings and meetings.
