Job summary

A progressive non-profit organization is seeking Seasonal Summer Camp Counselors to support children and adults with intellectual disabilities during summer camp. Responsibilities include care supervision, planning activities, and fostering independence. Ideal candidates should have a High School diploma (or equivalent) and preferably some experience in this field. This role offers valuable hands-on experience and opportunities for professional growth and continuity into the after-school program.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED, or be currently enrolled in high school or a vocational program.
• Preferred: At least one (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision to children during summer camp activities and community outings.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote communication, behavioral, and social skills.
• Support individuals in developing independence and daily living skills.
