School Lane Charter School in Pennsylvania is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher for 5th grade. The role focuses on planning, instruction, activities, and assessments aligned with the SLCS curriculum and inclusive learning practices.

The successful candidate will collaborate with peers to deliver differentiated instruction, develop and monitor IEPs, and advocate for students’ needs while maintaining a safe, diverse classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification in Special Education K-8 or K-12.
• Understanding and commitment to inclusive learning.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong research, planning and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to positively interact with students to encourage development.

Responsabilités

• Assess students’ developmental, cognitive, emotional and social needs, and learning styles; providing developmentally appropriate instruction.
• Develop and implement instruction that integrates SLCS curricula and supports inclusive practices.
• Develop, monitor and report on all IEPs within guidelines and ensure accommodations are applied.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement differentiated instruction and activities.
• Advocate for all students to ensure needs are met and monitor progress.
• Evaluate student performance and communicate with teachers and administration.
