Job summary

Horizons for Homeless Children in Boston seeks an Early Education Inclusion Manager to support staff delivering inclusive education for children with disabilities. The role focuses on building staff capacity and applying reflective practice across the program.

You will administer universal screenings, interpret results for families and professionals, and coordinate IEPs/IFSPs, while aligning with ED programs and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or early childhood field preferred.
• 5 years of leadership in an inclusive environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing care to or teaching children with special needs or disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals, screening, assessment, diagnostic services, and placements.
• Ensure access to high-quality education and care for children with disabilities.
• Promote inclusive interdisciplinary program planning.
• Observe referred children and provide developmentally appropriate recommendations.
• Model and coach developmentally appropriate learning strategies for classrooms and staff.
• Coach teachers on implementing strategies to support individual children and groups.
• Engage in reflective practice to build staff capacity.
• Adapt and modify educational activities based on recommendations from outside specialists.
• Maintain an inclusive classroom environment and complete related paperwork.
