Job summary

The YWCA of the City of New York (YWCA NYC) seeks an Inclusion Coordinator to support school-based OST programs for elementary and middle school students. You will ensure accessibility, coordinate accommodations, and liaise with schools, families, and DYCD to promote inclusive practices.

Responsibilities include individualized planning, staff coordination, and data-informed improvements. A bachelor’s or associate degree and 3+ years in inclusion or special education are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or associate in education, Special Education, Social Work, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational or programmatic setting with a focus on inclusion or special education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain individualized plans for participants requiring accommodations.
• Review and adapt IEP/504 plans for after-school settings with discreet implementation.
• Recruit and assign paraprofessionals, bilingual staff, and aides for full participation.
• Coordinate transportation or one-on-one aides and liaise between school, families and programs.
• Maintain confidential support logs and document accommodations and referrals.
• Provide professional development on disability inclusion, UDL, trauma-informed care, and confidentiality.
