Job summary

Clean Harbors in Aragonite, UT seeks a Facility Incineration Health and Safety Supervisor to lead safety for incineration operations and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The role reports to the Facility Manager and collaborates with senior H&S leaders, serving as a key safety lead for the site.

The ideal candidate will bring seasoned safety expertise, strong leadership, and flexibility to cover rotating shifts, with potential growth into senior H&S leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of health and safety experience in a heavy industrial setting
• OSHA 500 certification or ability to obtain (strongly preferred)
• HAZWOPER 40-hour certification and refresher required
• Associate's degree minimum; Bachelor's degree preferred in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field

Responsibilities

• Lead safety efforts for incineration operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and internal protocols
• Act as primary contact for health and safety concerns across all shifts
• Investigate incidents and lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning
• Conduct internal safety audits and implement continuous improvement plans
• Monitor and report safety performance metrics and trends
• Support emergency response planning and participate in drills
• Oversee adherence to hazardous materials handling, confined space entry, and PPE standards
• Train, coach, and guide employees on safety best practices
• Support site operations during turnarounds, shutdowns, and emergencies
• Maintain open availability for rotating shifts, call-outs, and weekend support
