Job summary

Peraton is recruiting an Incident Handler at the Intermediate level to independently manage the full lifecycle of cybersecurity incidents and evaluate complex network events to protect the Department of War information network.

The analyst serves as a technical leader, providing mentorship to junior staff, performing QA reviews, and refining defensive playbooks to ensure maximum operational security and mission success.

Qualifications

• Experience with incident lifecycle management and DoD security concepts.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Certifications or training related to cyber defense are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of cybersecurity incidents from detection to resolution.
• Evaluate complex network events to protect DoD information networks.
• Mentor associate-level staff and perform QA on team output.

• 6 years w/o BS/BA, 4 years with an Associates Degree; 2 years w/BS/BA, 0 years w/Masters OR One of the following:

  A-531-0451, Cyber Defense Incident Responder (Intermediate) Playlist OR CEH(P), ECIH, GRID, RCCE Level 1, CBROPS, CCSP, CEH, Cloud+, FITSP-O, GCED, GCIH, GSEC, PenTest+, Security+

• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

Peraton is currently recruiting for an Incident Hander - Intermediate Level

• The Incident Handler will independently manage the full lifecycle of cybersecurity incidents and evaluates complex network events to protect the Department of War (DOW) information network. Utilizing advanced technical expertise, this role identifies and neutralizes sophisticated threats, conducts in-depth diagnostic assessments, and directs incident resolution efforts.
• The analyst serves as a technical leader by providing mentorship to associate-level staff, performing quality assurance reviews of team output, and refining defensive playbooks to ensure maximum operational security and mission success.
