Job summary

A24 Films LLC is seeking a Production Tax & Incentives Executive to lead the incentive lifecycle from applications through audits and monetization. The role partners with Production Finance, Production, Post-Production, and Corporate teams to maximize credits and ensure compliance.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in incentives or tax at a studio, with expertise in Movie Magic Budgeting and advanced spreadsheet tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of incentive or tax experience at a studio.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or tax preferred.
• Motivated self-starter skilled in multitasking, time management, and strong organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
• Strong experience with Movie Magic Budgeting.
• Experience with Google Sheets/Excel and Airtable.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate domestic and international production incentive processes across all productions through its incentive lifecycle.
• Research and prepare summaries of domestic and international incentive programs.
• Manage internal reporting and tracking databases for incentive data points and timelines.
• Oversee overall application processes for assigned productions.
• Review first drafts of incentive applications with Production Finance teams.
• Review budgets to ensure tagging and assumptions; provide feedback to accountants.
• Partner with on-set accounting to ensure tagging aligns with program rules and deadlines.
• Advise production teams on opportunities by monitoring legislative changes and credits.
• Manage relationships with third-party CPA auditors and tax service providers; oversee audits.
• Handle ad-hoc incentive analyses and analyses for leadership.
• Review tax language in various agreements.
• Assist with tax returns including credit claims.
• Work with Legal/Finance to prepare tax credit financing documentation.
• Assist with end credit obligations.
