Job summary

CareNow urgent care, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare patients, assist with examinations, and perform routine procedures under physician supervision.

The role emphasizes accuracy in vital signs, room setup, injections, phlebotomy, and coordination of follow-up care. EHR experience is valued, with formal MA training and certification lengthened by licensure expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience using an EHR system is helpful.
• 1+ year of clinical patient setting experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program or approved equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Set up exam/treatment rooms and maintain supplies/equipment.
• Assist with injections, lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Support physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Coordinate follow-up care and patient scheduling.
• Assist with transfers and workplace physicals.
• Screen calls for referrals to physicians.
