Job summary

Nike seeks a driven intern to join its Global Sustainability team, working on projects that embed sustainability across business, manufacturing, operations, and marketplaces. You’ll lead multiple initiatives with global stakeholders, applying strategic thinking to deliver actionable insights that drive the enterprise climate strategy.

The role requires MBA or Environmental Science graduate study, at least 2 years of experience, and strong communication and storytelling skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an MBA and/or Environmental Science graduate programme.
• Expected graduation date December 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• At least 2 years of work experience.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence teams in a highly matrixed organisation.
• Strong project management, problem structuring and solving skills.
• Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and has a bias for action.
• Ability to decipher themes, make decisions, and tell stories from large datasets.
• Experience presenting to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
• Inquisitive, growth-focused and process-oriented mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clearly demonstrated passion for sustainability and Nike.

About the Role

This intern works within Nike's Global Sustainability team to embed sustainability into business, manufacturing, operations and marketplace initiatives. The intern leads one or more projects that require working across a range of stakeholders, applying critical and strategic thinking and problem solving to deliver insights that move the business forward. The internship may be based in one of several areas, including Climate & Environment, Engagement, Geo Sustainability, Marketplace Sustainability, People & Human Rights, Raw Materials & Traceability, Supply Chain Compliance, Sustainable Chemistry, and Sustainability Compliance & Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Preferred Skills

• Background in Social and Environmental Sustainability, Operations, Supply Chain, Analytics, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Textiles, Finance, or Retail.
• General sustainability skills/knowledge, including experience in corporate responsibility, climate, natural resources, circularity, people and human rights and/or other related topics.

• This internship is located in-person at the NIKE, Inc. Philip H. Knight campus in Beaverton, OR.
