The incumbent will review inbound volumes, optimize scheduling, monitor KPIs, and drive process improvements using ERP, TMS, and WMS systems, while coordinating with carriers and warehouse teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • 1+ years in Transportation, Supply Chain, or Logistics operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to time-sensitive situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily operational reviews with warehouse teams, carriers, and service providers to align on inbound volumes, receiving capacity, and performance metrics across all transportation modes (ocean, air, truck, rail).
  • Lead operational risk assessment initiatives, proactively identifying and mitigating potential disruptions through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration utilizing ERP, TMS, WMS, and other operational systems.
  • Develop and implement action plans in coordination with warehouse teams and service providers, ensuring procedural compliance and service level achievement.
  • Direct inbound flow and yard operations, optimizing appointment scheduling and proactively addressing bottlenecks to maintain operational continuity.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers, focusing on service performance monitoring and issue escalation.
  • Coordinate slot allocation processes and daily communication with warehouses, truckers, forwarders, and customers.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including on-time delivery, dwell time, receiving productivity, and service level compliance.
  • Compile and communicate operational insights to key stakeholders and senior management for performance tracking and strategic decision-making.

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inbound Operations Coordinator to manage daily inbound operations across assigned Distribution Centers. This role focuses on inbound process execution, operational issue resolution, and process improvement to support smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with a collaborative mindset to help maintain operational efficiency and service performance.

Inbound Operations Management
  • Conduct daily operational reviews with warehouse teams, carriers, and service providers to align on inbound volumes, receiving capacity, and performance metrics across all transportation modes (ocean, air, truck, rail)

  • Support special projects and ad-hoc analyses as business needs evolve
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in Transportation, Supply Chain, or Logistics operations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to time-sensitive situations in a fast-paced environment
