Job summary

Powers Health Northwest Indiana invites applications for the Residency Program Director in Internal Medicine. The director will lead inception, development, and ongoing operation of the residency program, aligning with ACGME requirements and institutional missions.

The role requires a board-certified internist with strong leadership and a track record in accreditation processes; a faculty appointment with IUSM is provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with current board certification in Internal Medicine.
• 3–5 years in educational/administrative leadership in academic healthcare.
• Experience as Program Director or similar role preferred.
• Ongoing clinical activity required.
• Licensure in the relevant state.
• Familiarity with ACGME accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation of the residency program and ensure compliance with ACGME requirements.
• Develop strategic direction and an educational environment conducive to learning and growth.
• Oversee resident recruitment, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary processes.
• Coordinate with IUSM and Powers Health leadership; manage program staff and resources.
• Maintain high educational standards and support scholarly activity per ACGME.
