Qualifications

• MD with Board Certification in General Surgery (ABS).
• Eligibility for Nevada medical licensure, DEA registration, and controlled substance license.
• Minimum three years of graduate medical education leadership experience.
• Active clinical practice requirement for leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Develop the residency program curriculum, educational philosophy, and structure.
• Oversee initial and ongoing ACGME accreditation activities.
• Establish program policies and expectations for faculty and residents.
• Recruit inaugural residents and faculty.
• Collaborate with DIO, Office of Graduate Medical Education, and Department of Surgery.
