Job summary

Celldex is seeking a Research Associate to provide daily care of research animals and support in vivo studies in our New Jersey facility.

Responsibilities include cage changes, animal monitoring, injections, blood collection, necropsy, and aiding with in vitro work such as ELISA and cell culture. Maintain records and ensure SOP/IACUC compliance.

0-2+ years in related field; ability to lift 30 pounds; strong organizational and communication skills; team player.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or AA with related field experience.
• Ability to work with animals in a lab setting.
• Experience with lab techniques and micro pipetting.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and organization.
• Able to lift 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform cage changes and handle animals per SOPs.
• Operate and maintain the Animal Facility following SOPs.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order as required.
• Report facility status and communicate with Supervisor daily.
• Perform injections and collect blood samples.
• Perform necropsy for tissue collection and monitor tumor growth.
• Assist with in vivo and in vitro assays and data collection.
• Maintain daily records and support research needs.
