Job summary

Charles River Insourcing Solutions is seeking a Research Associate II to advance in vivo drug research and development. The role requires hands-on experience with rodent techniques including blood collection, injections, necropsy, and tissue processing, with strong data documentation and adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a Life Science discipline with 2+ years of related lab animal experience OR
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience or related certification
• HS diploma with 6+ years of related experience in laboratory animal husbandry and technical skills

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in basic in-vivo laboratory techniques incl. blood collection, injections, tissue processing and euthanization
• Operate experimental equipment and follow SOPs, policies and regulatory requirements
• Assist in experimental design and planning; document data and prepare project reports
• Maintain animal health/welfare records and ensure data readiness for reports
• Perform rodent injection techniques (oral gavage, IV, SQ, IP, IM) and necropsy/tissue collection
• Conduct necropsy and tissue collection; euthanasia via CO2 or anesthesia; cervical dislocation as appropriate
• Train staff and assist in small studies; communicate with department and support groups
