Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Scientist III in South San Francisco to advance in vivo CAR-T platforms from concept through preclinical development.

The role blends synthetic biology with immune modulation, requiring deep CAR-T expertise, T-cell assays, and collaborative data generation for therapeutic programs. Responsibilities include designing CAR constructs, executing advanced cell-based assays, and communicating results to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS, or equivalent education, with typically 7+ years; or MS with typically 5+ years; or PhD with CAR-T/immuno-oncology experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently design, perform, and interpret key experiments; strong scientific writing and communication.
• Extensive experience in CAR-T assay development for candidate generation and assessment.
• Experience in CAR-T construct design, production, and T cell function evaluation.
• Deep expertise in primary T cell isolation, activation, transduction, cytotoxicity, proliferation, cytokine profiling, flow cytometry, and immunoassays.

Responsibilities

• Apply T cell and synthetic biology expertise toward next-generation in vivo CAR-T therapies.
• Independently establish, track, and deliver on project milestones and timelines.
• Design and execute in vitro CAR-T assays to evaluate biology and function.
• Organize and communicate complex data to stakeholders through presentations and reports.
• Maintain comprehensive ELN records.
