Job summary

RadNet is seeking an In Suite Assistant 1 to support MRI safety and patient care across Nassau and Suffolk County locations. You will assist MRI staff, handle patient history, coil setup, and maintain a safe, efficient workflow in a busy imaging suite.

Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS certification, and at least one year of medical setting experience or completion of the MR Technologist Assistant program. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• At least one year experience in medical setting.
• Completion of approved MR Technologist Assistant program, including hands-on clinical training.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, public relations and verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to assist in lifting patients onto table.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to the MRI Technologist for accurate MRI safety, assist MRI Technologists to ensure MRI safety, coil positioning, patient screening and/or history and patient observation during exams.
• Support technologists with procedures as needed; which includes the set-up of coils, schedule maintenance, and/or clean‑up of MRI suite
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

You Will

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.30 per hour
