Job summary

Whole Foods Market, Inc. is seeking an In-Store Shopper to prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup. You will shop across the store for produce, meat, dairy, and more, with a focus on accuracy and speed. Flexibility to work peak hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential for success.

Typical shifts are 4-8 hours with opportunities to learn, cross-train, and support various teams. Excellent customer service and teamwork are valued in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Sufficient English language proficiency to prepare and shop customer orders.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills online orders efficiently, accurately and with a sense of urgency using handheld technology.
• Ensure product and order accuracy through verification and quality control processes.
• Learn and apply product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations to deliver experiences.
• Keep staging area organized and free of clutter.
• Handle in-store and online order returns and pickups.
• Comply with government regulations such as age verification for restricted items.
• Assist with customer inquiries and provide store information.
• Maintain knowledge of product and promotional events.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Communicate clearly and collaboratively.
• Attend meetings assigned by Leadership including daily huddles.
• Support store programs and initiatives across checkout options and store formats.
• Maintain safety and store security protocols.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
