Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment is hiring an In-Store Sales Associate for our Oklahoma City location. You will support retail customers, process orders, and assist the outside sales team with product recommendations and demonstrations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1+ year in customer service or inside sales. The role involves occasional lifting and working through a busy retail environment with attention to pricing accuracy and records management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of customer service/inside sales/counter sales preferred.
• No DUI/DWI or other alcohol-related driving convictions in the last 10 years.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer service activities including taking telephone orders, answering questions, resolving challenges, and tracing order status or shipments.
• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store.
• Conduct warehouse duties including moving cylinders for customers.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will perform customer service activities, including receiving and entering telephone orders, answering questions, resolving challenges, and tracing order status or product shipments
• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store
• Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers
• And you will provide sales support to the Outside Sales team
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs
• You will promote add-on sales of gases and high-margin hard goods accessories and conduct product demonstrations as an in-store sales representative
• Maintain customer records and files, ensuring accurate account setup and pricing
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small 'B' customers
• You will sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins and occasionally support additional locations

What Makes You Great

• You have a high school diploma / GED
• More than one (1+) year(s) of Customer Service / Inside Sales / Counter Sales is preferred
• You should have excellent customer service skills to be successful in this role
• Further, you do not have a DUI / DWI or other alcohol (driving) related convictions within the last ten (10) years
• Able to lift 50lbs
