Jones Road Beauty is seeking an energetic makeup artist to assist and educate customers at our Georgetown, Washington D.C. storefront.

The role supports providing the highest level of customer experience, product shade matching, and artistry services in a fast-paced retail environment. This position offers flexibility as full-time, part-time or freelance, with duties including product demonstrations, sales, events support, and in-person customer engagements at the Georgetown location opening in

Qualifications

• 2–3 years cosmetic artistry experience
• 2–3 years customer facing retail or service industry experience
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to influence in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• A flexible schedule with the ability to work days, weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand and/walk for up to 8 hours
• Proficiency in using company hardware including iPads, Slack, booking platforms and email
• Available to work in-person at the Georgetown, Washington D.C storefront

Responsibilities

• Promote the Jones Road brand and products while offering the highest level of personalized service
• Maintain a positive, enthusiastic, helpful and professional attitude with customers and team members
• Ask open-ended questions and provide shade matching and recommendations
• Provide makeup artistry services including full makeup applications and lessons
• Introduce, demonstrate and sell products to customers
• Achieve sales targets and participate in artistry-driven events
• Support store events and activations including new product launches and partnerships
• Establish cooperative relationships with store retail team and HQ
• Foster open and positive communication and creativity
• Ensure store is customer ready from open to close
• Maintain store hygiene and restock stations
• Assist with inventory and visual standards
