Job summary

Mending Matters in Vista, CA seeks a school-based mental health therapist for a part-time, in-person role serving youth ages 11-18+. You will collaborate with school staff, lead mental health workshops, and provide crisis support as needed.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in a relevant field, CA licensure eligibility, and a passion for expanding access to youth mental health services within schools. Start date October 2026, hourly pay $32.69–$34.13.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or clinical counseling.
• Active or pending CA licensure as appropriate by discipline.
• Experience with youth and families in therapy settings.
• Commitment to equitable mental health supports for students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to youth ages 11-18+.
• Collaborate with school-based staff for student support.
• Lead school-based mental health workshops.
• Coordinate follow-up care and crisis interventions as needed.
• Complete documentation including progress notes and treatment plans.
