Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced In-Room Dining (IRD) Server to deliver restaurant-quality service in guest rooms and suites. You will handle orders, coordinate set-up, and ensure guest satisfaction with a personable, professional approach.

Responsibilities include accurate order taking, timely delivery, service recovery, and adherence to safety standards. A high school diploma, prior F&B experience, and flexible scheduling are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous F&B service experience in hotel/resort preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and professional demeanor.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food handler's certification and alcohol service certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Order taking and coordination: answer in-room dining calls, take and relay orders, confirm dietary needs and timing, input orders into POS, coordinate with kitchen, suggest items and beverages.
• Set up and preparation: arrange trays, carts, tables, ensure accuracy and cleanliness, stock service area.
• Delivery and service: deliver within promised times, present items, uncork pour beverages, assist guests, follow up.
• Tray retrieval and reset: collect used items, return to dish area, reset supplies, report damages.
• Guest relations and service recovery: address concerns, anticipate needs, elevate to supervisor when needed.
• Compliance and safety: adhere to HACCP and health codes, verify age for alcohol, cash handling, protect guest privacy, report incidents.
• Team contribution: communicate with kitchen/front desk/housekeeping, participate in trainings, assist during peak periods.
