Job summary

Amity Foundation in California is seeking a Counselor I to deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming inside state prisons, focusing on the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP). You will facilitate CBI classes, conduct sessions, track progress and document outcomes in ARMS.

The role requires collaboration with CDCR/CCHCS staff, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to rehabilitation and safety.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Operational knowledge of MS Office Suite and ARMS.
• Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectivity under pressures from working with substance abuse treatment participants.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes, using evidence-based curriculum to participants.
• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans.
• Evaluate and document the progress of participants.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations.
• Work collaboratively with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and CDCR contracted staff.
