Job summary

Total Safety U.S., Inc. in New Castle, PA is seeking an IPSC Technician to join a safety‑conscious team.

The role works under a supervisor in a plant environment, performing inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of customer owned or TSUS equipment, and interfaces with customers regularly. Key duties include documenting service, assisting with stocking and loading orders, issuing and tracking equipment in our software, and maintaining a clean work area while upholding TSUS safety

Qualifications

• At least six months of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery or related industry.
• Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance.
• Must possess safe driving record and be insurable for Total Safety vehicle insurance while driving company truck.
• Forklift certification preferred; must pass internal forklift certification as required.
• Must be able to obtain at least one manufacturer’s certification within six months of employment.
• Proficiency in the care and use of PPE; may require training in Respiratory Protection and to be fully certified to wear respiratory equipment (Fit Tested).

Responsibilities

• Assists in the facility including stocking shelves with clean, tested equipment and pulling, staging, and loading customer orders onto trucks for delivery; maintains a clean and orderly work area.

• Must work safely and adhere to all TSUS & customer policies and procedures.

The IPSC Technician works under the direction of a supervisor in a plant environment and provides a variety of services which may include inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of customer owned or TSUS equipment. Interfaces with customers regularly.

Essential Duties

Skills and Experience

• At least six months of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery or related industry. Associate degree, technical or military training strongly preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance. Must possess safe driving record and be insurable for Total Safety vehicle insurance while driving company truck.
• Forklift experience preferred. Must pass internal forklift certification as required.
• Must be able to obtain at least one manufacturer’s certification within six months of employment.
• Proficiency in the care and use of all sites specific, facility and customer required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). May need training in Respiratory Protection and fully certified to wear respiratory breathing equipment (Fit Tested).
