Job summary

Total Safety is seeking an IPSC Technician II to join their safety focused team in a plant setting. The technician works under supervision performing inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance and repair of customer owned or TSUS equipment, interfacing with customers on a regular basis.

The role emphasizes adherence to procedures, safety policies, and accurate documentation of inspections and repairs, as well as basic data entry and communication with customers to quote repairs and delivery

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Good driving record and insurability for company insurance.

Responsibilities

• Receipt, inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling, and testing of SCBA and other respiratory equipment per procedures.
• Routine inspection and maintenance of breathing air regulators and reducers.
• Completes documentation and data entry for inspections and repairs, including invoicing and time sheets.
• Assists with plant laundry functions, including FR garment handling and repairs.
• Learns to perform detailed visual inspections and system tests and to quote repairs or replacements.
• Communicates with customers effectively and adheres to TSUS & customer policies.

Total Safety is looking for anIPSC Technician II to join their safety conscious team! The IPSC Technician works under the direction of a supervisor in a plant environment and provides a variety of services which may include inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of customer owned or TSUS equipment. Interfaces with customers on a regular basis.

Essential Duties:

• Receipt, inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling, and testing of various SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) and other respiratory equipment and breathing air equipment in accordance with approved testing and service procedures.
• Routine inspection and maintenance of breathing air regulators and reducers
• Completes all documentation and data entry associated with inspection and repair in a timely and accurate manner and obtains signature from customer so that proper invoicing and documentation can be provided to customer as required. This includes all inspection and repair documents, job cost billable expenses and time sheets.
• Learns to conduct detailed visual inspections and system functional tests of various systems and equipment to report any deficiencies and corrective action recommendations to customer. Learns to assess the repair needed and to quote the customer price and delivery for repair or replacement.
• Assists with the Laundry facility including going through the plants to pickup the dirty FR, wash and deliver to the employees locker's. Repairs of damaged FR'S. Take and place orders for new FR'S. Fit testing of Suncor employees.
• Maintains work area and other areas in a clean and orderly condition. Performs additional duties after training.
• Learns to issue, receive, track, and inspect equipment using company/customer provided software.
• Able to effectively communicate with others and build rapport with customers quickly.
• Must work safely and adhere to all TSUS & customer policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience:

• Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance. Must possess good driving record and be insurable for Total Safety vehicle insurance while driving company truck.

Working Environment:

• Plant environment. May be frequently exposed to wet, humid, outside weather conditions and vibration. Works in customer environments. May be exposed to high pressure, chemicals, and plant traffic. The noise level in work environment is usually moderate.

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
