Job summary

Rapport International in Nebraska is seeking qualified Somali interpreters for in-person assignments in the Omaha area. This is a great opportunity to use your language skills to help local healthcare providers and non-English speaking clients, with flexible PRN hours.

This independent contractor role requires full bilingual ability, confidentiality, and transportation to appointments. Vaccination documentation or exemptions may be requested, and availability Monday through Friday 7am–5pm is

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual in English and at least one other language.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance.
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred.
• Background checks and drug screens required.
• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only; you must have transportation.
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal; printing and uploading vouchers.
• Must have access to a printer.
• Schedule is PRN, part-time (or less) with availability M-F 7AM-5PM.
