Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services seeks an in-person School Psychologist to join on a contract basis in Aurora, CO. You will provide evaluations, counseling, and collaboration with educators and families to support students’ academic and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities include assessments, IEP/BIP collaboration, and crisis intervention, with a focus on building healthy learning environments and promoting student success.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from a NASP-approved program.
• Active CO state license or state DOE certification as School Psychologist.
• Experience in a school setting providing special education services.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
• Strong skills in psychological testing, counseling, and intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to cultural competence and diversity.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to develop IEPs and BIPs.
• Provide counseling and interventions to support students' mental health.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address academic and behavioral challenges.
• Offer consultation and training to school personnel on strategies to improve learning environments.
• Promote positive mental health through prevention programs and crisis intervention.
• Maintain confidential records in compliance with regulations.
• Stays current on developments in school psychology.
