Job summary

Decisive Point is hiring a Data Engineer in Norristown, PA to architect and maintain real-time data streams from robots. In-person role requiring a Bachelor’s degree and U.S. Person status. You will build low-latency pipelines using Azure and on-premise systems, processing telemetry, video, and LiDAR data for R&D teams.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, with a $120,000–$160,000 annual salary and benefits, in-person work location at 52 Buttonwood Street, Norristown.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data engineering with real-time or streaming data focus.
• Experience with cloud data storage and on-prem solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and data query languages.
• Experience with streaming data processing frameworks and time-series databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines for streaming data.
• Handle robot telemetry data including position, velocity, and battery life.
• Develop ingestion, storage, and retrieval for video and LiDAR data.
• Provide data access for R&D teams and define data formats with software engineers.
• Ensure data integrity during intermittent connectivity and cloud-to-robot transmission.
