Job summary

Waldorf School of New Orleans is seeking a part-time Middle School Math Specialist to teach and plan math lessons (about 16 hours per week) in person. The role focuses on developing key mathematical skills while aligning with the Waldorf curriculum.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Math or Education, demonstrated mastery of middle school math, and classroom management experience. Waldorf certification or commitment to AWSNA training is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of classroom experience.
• Waldorf certification or commitment to AWSNA training.

Responsibilities

• Teach math classes and support student learning.
• Prepare a basic syllabus for each grade, guided by the Waldorf curriculum.
• Document student progress and maintain records.
• Conduct parent meetings as scheduled.
• Complete mid-year and end-of-year reports.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development.
