Job summary

Tutor Partners, LLC is seeking experienced middle and high school math tutors to provide in-person tutoring in partnership with LACOE at Juvenile Court Schools in Los Angeles County. The role supports students during the regular school day with targeted math instruction.

Positions are onsite across multiple sites, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm through the 2026-27 school year. A degree and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 24 college credits required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with students in grades 6-12; juvenile justice or alternative education setting a plus.
• Strong math content knowledge for middle/high school; tutoring ELA is a plus.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to pass LiveScan/background clearances as required by LACOE.
• Reliable transportation to assigned site.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and push-in math support aligned to student needs during the school day.
• Track and report student progress.
• Participate in instructional planning with teachers and school leaders, administration of assessments, and coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with Tutor Partners staff and site personnel to coordinate scheduling and materials.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment.
