Job summary

Contra Costa Community College District seeks an in-person Biology Adjunct Instructor to teach Human Anatomy (BioSc 40) at Los Medanos College. This temporary, 5‑unit course runs MW evenings with a cadaver dissection component, combining lecture and lab work.

You will deliver instruction per established curriculum, foster a learning-centered environment, evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in any biological science OR Bachelor’s degree in any biological science AND master’s degree in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science OR The equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Providing instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and class schedules.
• Creating and maintaining an environment which emphasizes learning and critical thinking.
• Evaluating progress of students and grading
• Meeting with students outside of class
• Maintaining professional conduct and ethics
• Maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter areas
• Fulfilling professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member
• Maintaining accurate academic records
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
