Job summary

The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is seeking a Part-Time Instructor in Human Anatomy and/or Human Physiology to teach part-time in the Biology department in Spring 2027 and beyond. The ideal candidate must have a passion for teaching and learning and a strong commitment to the missions and values of the community college.

They must have community college experience teaching Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, and/or combined Human Anatomy and Physiology.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience in Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, or both in a community college setting.
• Commitment to equity-minded teaching and inclusive practices.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum and instructional improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver organized lectures per course outline.
• Evaluate students using formative assessments (homework, quizzes, exams).
• Teach in-person lab curriculum including cadaver dissections with lab team.
• Provide timely feedback to students.
• Create a welcoming and student-centered learning environment.
