Chenega MIOS is seeking a Professional Tutor (English) in Lawrence, KS to provide comprehensive in-person tutoring that enhances students' understanding of course materials and reinforces effective study habits. The tutor will engage in group or individual sessions to foster academic excellence.

The role involves working with the VPA to ensure access to historical sources, supporting semester assessments, and assisting students in English courses while adhering to required trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in the teaching subject, except for Indigenous languages.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person tutoring to enhance understanding of course materials.
• Familiarize with Haskell Indian Nations University history, demographics, and CU roles.
• Coordinate with VPA to ensure access to references for adjunct instructors.
• Support semester assessments and tutoring services evaluations.
• Assist students with tutoring in English courses.
