Job summary

The Bureau of Indian Education seeks an Elementary Transitional Teacher for the Santa Rosa Day School, to serve as a classroom teacher on or near the Reservation. This position operates under a school year contract per Public Law 95-561 and requires annual renewal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited education institution.
• Enrollment in local State's alternative teaching licensure/certificate program within 90 days of start date.
• DODEA certification allows reciprocity and may not require immediate enrollment if State requires it.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students as a classroom teacher in a BIE school near the Reservation.
• Implement state standards and provide instruction in alignment with grade-level objectives.
