Job summary

HeyTutor Inc. is seeking exceptional tutors to provide in-person math intervention for elementary students in Miami-Dade County.

You will lead small-group sessions, reinforce foundational concepts, and adapt instruction to diverse learner needs, with a focus on student growth and engagement. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree, a commitment to regular weekday hours (8:00 AM–4:00 PM), and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Prior teaching or classroom instructional experience strongly preferred.
• Experience tutoring or working with elementary-age students preferred.
• Ability to pass an FBI/DOJ in-person background check.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Drug screening is required.
• Comfortable teaching K-5 mathematics and foundational concepts.
• Ability to support students with significant skill gaps.
• Experience working with ELL students or students with disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging math intervention to K-5 students in small groups (~4:1).
• Reinforce foundational math concepts and classroom instruction.
• Differentiate instruction based on student needs and skill levels.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and instructional coaches.
• Maintain attendance, materials, transitions, and daily schedules.
• Build positive relationships to support student confidence.
