Job summary

York County Community College (YCCC), in partnership with Great Bay Community College (GBCC), is seeking passionate and innovative individuals to serve as contract instructors for in-person teaching assignments at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY).

These positions are essential to delivering high-quality instruction and supporting technical and professional development for Navy personnel and civilian employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a field related to the teaching assignment.
• Prior teaching experience is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality in-person instruction.
• Design courses, syllabi, assignments, and assessments.
• Engage and support adult learners to meet goals.
• Assess student progress with formative and summative tools.
• Collaborate with partners and communicate clearly with students and staff.
• Suggest curriculum improvements and stay current in the field.
• Maintain attendance records and required documentation.
• Support student success and workforce development.
