Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable English/BENGALI Educational Interpreters for in-person, part-time assignments in Nassau County, New York. Interpreters will work on-site, travel to assignments as needed, and support communication among students, families, educators, and school staff.

Starting pay is $35.00 per hour. Candidates should be fluent in both English and Bengali and able to handle educational terminology with neutrality and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English and Bengali fluently.
• Ability to interpret accurately and neutrally.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Comfort with educational terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences, CSE/CPSE meetings, and student-related appointments.
• Interpret for school administrators, educators, and families while maintaining confidentiality.
• Attend assignments in Nassau County, NY as needed.
• Dress in business-casual attire and communicate professionally with stakeholders.
