Job summary

Academic Approach in Winnetka seeks part-time ACT/SAT tutors to deliver 1-on-1 and classroom instruction. Most hours are in-person with flexible scheduling, alongside robust paid training and professional development.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, are committed to diversity and student success, and can teach ACT subjects from English to science. A reliable internet setup and 10+ hours weekly availability are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and educational equity.
• Academic expertise in English, math, reading, and science; all ACT subjects are taught.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, specialized academic and test-prep instruction to high school (and some middle school) students, primarily in-person in the Winnetka office.
• Build relationships in a supportive and professional manner.
• Maintain an accurate calendar in Microsoft Outlook.
• Respond to administrators, students, and parents in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate management skills and professionalism in both remote and in-person settings.
• Attend required training and professional development events.
