Job summary

The Hire Company in Chicago seeks a Project Engineer to oversee a major construction process end-to-end, ensuring team and project needs are met. This is an in-office role based in downtown Chicago.

Responsibilities include managing multi-year projects, maintaining documentation via Procure and Bluebeam, and coordinating travel and site logistics while ensuring proper insurance and due diligence throughout the project life cycle.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of subcontracting, construction, and/or architecture experience preferred.
• High-level understanding of the construction pipeline preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Procure and/or Bluebeam preferred.
• Proven ability to manage projects from end-to-end with a high level of detail and follow through.
• A team-oriented work ethic coupled with outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-year construction projects from inception to completion.
• Maintain project documentation through Procure and Bluebeam.
• Coordinate travel and lodging for off-site employees and contractors.
• Ensure project is appropriately insured at inception and closed out at completion.
• Perform due diligence throughout the project life cycle including reviewing samples, sketches, change orders, and RFIs.
• Support the administration of construction projects as needed.
