Qualifikationen

• Completion of a Psychiatric Technician training program accredited by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners.
• Equivalent study/training may be substituted if approved by BVNPT for qualifying for the licensing examination.
• The position requires drug screening, background investigation and medical clearance before hire.

Aufgaben

• Assists licensed staff in consumer treatment programs and follows established standards and procedures.
• Maintains strength, agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform duties.
• Interacts with consumers on an ongoing basis.
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases and blood-borne pathogens; work with medicinal preparations common to clinical nursing.
• Performs lifting up to 50 pounds and related movements (pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching).
• Includes sitting, standing and walking; weekend and holiday work required.
