Job summary

Townsend Insurance Group in Danvers, MA, seeks a detail-oriented Personal and Commercial Lines Account Manager to support a book of business across Massachusetts, with additional accounts in New Hampshire, Maine, and Connecticut.

This role focuses on delivering responsive day-to-day service, maintaining account accuracy, and supporting both client retention and growth within a team-driven, community-focused agency.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior insurance industry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or the recognized equivalent, required.
• Must have an active P and C License.
• Proficient in Windows programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of personal and commercial lines accounts, maintaining strong client relationships through consistent, responsive service.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries, service requests, and issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Review client exposures and existing policies to ensure appropriate coverage while handling frequent policy updates and changes.
• Partner with producers to support new business activity, including quoting, binding, and onboarding of new accounts.
• Provide timely, accurate day-to-day service, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and service standards.
• Monitor carrier turnaround times and follow up on policies, endorsements, and claims to ensure efficient processing.
• Perform regular account reviews with a focus on retention, coverage accuracy, and cross-selling opportunities.
